This FREE Portable Tool Shows Any Domain’s Hosting, Ownership, and DNS information in Detail

DomainHostingView is a new portable tool from NirSoft for Windows that collects extensive information about a particular domain by scanning a series of DNS and WHOIS queries, and generate a HTML report if needed that can be displayed in any Web Browser in the future.

The information about a given domain gathered by this little tool, as advertised, is very extensive.

• Very detail WHOIS info,  including who owns the domain, where it was registered, hosted in where, when was registered, etc.
• Very detail DNS report, including the MX, which reveals that we are using Google App as the mail service.
• Very detail hosting info, including platform, where the server is, the IP info, etc.

DomainHostingView works on any version of Windows, both 32-bit and 64-bit editions. It supports Internationalized domain name (IDN) as well, which converts it automatically into a format that can be used in WHOIS and DNS servers.

A little modification on Firewall that goes to Internet may be required if a strict firewall rule in place that blocks outgoing the following ports, 80 (HTTP), 43 (WHOIS), 53 (DNS), and 25 (SMTP).
