Steps:
1. Navigate to OpenDNS Basic page and sign up for a new OpenDNS account.
2. Once after registration you need to configure your DNS settings. Navigate to DNS Setup page and change your DNS settings by following instructions.
3. Go to OpenDNS Settings page.
4. Now you have to add your network to control content filtering and to review stats over time. Your current IP will listed automatically for you in the text boxes and click Add This Network button.
5. Now you will prompt to give your network a name. In addition if you are using a dynamic IP address, specify it there and download and install OpenDNS Dynamic IP Address Updater Client. Click Done once you finished with it.
Note: If you are using Dynamic IP address, your IP address get changed each time you connect to internet. You may never know of it. But most home users has dynamic IP addresses which assigned to them by their ISP or network operator. So each time when your IP address changes, OpenDNS may need to update it automatically in order to provide you continuous protection. So you need to install OpenDNS Dynamic IP Address Updater Client on your desktop/notebook to send your IP to OpenDNS whenever it changes.
6. Now select your network in the Settings for field.
7. It'll let you select filtering level or select your own categories to filter. Select or Customize your categories and click Apply to confirm changes.
